Thanks to the Project Camper roof insulation for the pop-up roof, you'll have a warm interior upstairs even in harsh temperatures.
Tailor-made pop-up roof insulation with magnet fastening for the Mercedes Marco Polo (from 2014) as heat and sound insulation, blackout and wind protection. Thanks to extra-strong magnets in the hem, the thermal mats can be attached in no time at all. Metal pads are glued to the upper aluminium frame, to which the bellows are attached, and these serve as adhesion points for the magnets. This means that no holes need to be drilled or other permanent changes made to the vehicle. If desired, the self-adhesive metal pads can be removed again at any time without leaving any residue.
The blackout set for the pop-up roof consists of four individual thermal mats that are connected with high-quality (durable) Velcro tape. When stowing, the parts can remain connected or be separated, for example to achieve a particularly compact size. Two ventilation flaps are incorporated on the side magnetic thermo mats (large triangles), which correspond to the folding bellows and can be opened and closed with zips.
As the height of the pop-up roof varies slightly for each individual Marco Polo, the side sections of the thermo mats are manufactured with an oversize on the lower edge. The overhang is simply folded inwards so that there is no cold bridge in this area.This roof insulation is without the cut-out for the front opening. This is available on request by special order. We do not recommend it, however, because if you open this part and the material "rolls down", it will hang in the open area of the entrance.The magnets are included with the roof insulation in the appropriate number! The 2.7 kg Gaz bottle is offered filled for around 80 euros. An exchange filling with butane costs an average of 30-40 euros
(that's 11 euros per kilo of gas). At the gas dealer, a kilo of propane gas costs about 2-3 euros.
Here we offer you an empty bottle which, together with the refill hose, makes a universal, refillable gas source.
Many camping suppliers have geared their gas boxes to these bottles for many years due to a lack of alternatives, so that other bottles fit poorly.
In addition, these bottles can only be filled with butane, which doesn't work in winter.
In principle, the bottles can be filled at any petrol station, but you can also fill them yourself with a 5 or 11 kg bottle.
