With the Project Camper roof insulation for pop-up roofs you can keep your interior warm even in harsh temperatures.
Tailor-made pop-up roof insulation with magnetic fastenings for the Mercedes Marco Polo (from 2014) providing heat and sound insulation, darkening and wind protection.
The extra-strong magnets in the hem allow the thermal mats to be attached in an instant. Metal pads are glued to the upper aluminium frame to which the bellows are attached, serving as attachment points for the magnets. This means that no holes need to be drilled or other permanent changes made to the vehicle. If preferred, the self-adhesive metal pads can be removed at any time without leaving any residue.
The blackout set for the pop-up roof consists of four individual thermal mats connected with high-quality (durable) Velcro tape. When stowed away, the parts can remain connected or be separated, for example to achieve a particularly compact size.
Two ventilation flaps are incorporated into the side magnetic thermal mats (large triangles), which correspond to the bellows and can be opened and closed with zips.
As the height of the pop-up roof varies slightly on each individual Marco Polo, the side panels of the thermal mats are manufactured with an excess at the lower edge. The excess is simply folded inwards so that there is no cold bridge in that area.
The roof insulation does not include the cut-out for the front opening. This is available on request as a special order. However, we do not recommend this, as if you open this part and the material ‘rolls down’, it will get hung up in the open area of the step.
The roof insulation comes with the appropriate number of magnets included!
